Go out and get: The Late Great Daniel Johnston Discovered Covered, it is awesome. Good covers on one disc and then the great originals on the other. I got it a couple of months ago, just rediscovered it, it's awesome. Daniel Johnston is probably one of the best songwriters known. |

The Fearless Freaks is beyond awesome, it is amazing... Go out and get it, Rudy's is getting a shipment tomorrow(thanks to me :P). Read about it next week in my article in the Lance. So... Senior project day was today, woot. Performed in part of it, pretty good. Mallory would not stop drawing on me in pen...but I got her good too :)! I'm going to miss quite a few people in this graduating class...:(. Next year is going to be worse.. well that's not for awhile... LIVE IN THE NOW WES! DAMN IT! |

Well last Tuesday I went to the Decemberists concert in Helena, and being the down and dirty journalist I am, We got an interview with Colin Meloy.
It all started at the beginning, before the concert, I noticed the back stage doors open, so courtney and I walked in backstage, were thus stopped by a burly man who asked "what do you want?", we then replied, "We're looking for someone in charge." He then pointed us to Tom at the ticket booth. I cannot say enough about Tom. FOGHORN!!! Anyway, Tom said he'd talk to the band. And after watching a tight, awesome show by the Decemberists we waited around and Tom said they'd talk to us. So Colin took us backstage and we got an exclusive interview. The Entertainer only could get an over the internet interview and The Indepedant had to interview his girlfriend, but we got an exclusive!!! Woohooo!!! And I got some kick ass pictures which I will post in the near future. |
